How the Pulse Calendar Works
What events appear on the Pulse calendar, how the calendar fills itself from projects, milestones, payments, and Quick Jobs, and how to add your own calendar events.
Pulse · 16 Jun 2026
The Pulse calendar is a self-filling workspace. Most of what appears on it is added automatically as your team works in other modules — there is no need to manually duplicate dates you have already entered into projects, milestones, or payments.
What fills the calendar automatically
Four types of events populate the Pulse calendar without any extra steps:
- Milestone due dates — every project milestone with a due date appears on the calendar automatically. When you update the due date on a milestone, the calendar event updates to match. Completed milestones show a completion indicator on the calendar day.
- Project due dates — the due date set on a project itself appears as a "deadline" event. Like milestones, this updates when the project due date changes.
- Payment due events — when a payment request linked to a project has a due date, a "Payment due" event appears on the calendar. If the payment is cancelled or removed, the event is removed too.
- Quick Job due dates — deliverable due dates from the Quick Jobs module appear as their own event type on the calendar.
The calendar also shows lead-linked discovery call dates and any meetings recorded in the Leads module, so your team has a complete view of upcoming commitments.
Month view and navigation
The calendar shows one month at a time. Use the left and right arrows to move between months. Events are shown as colour-coded bars at the bottom of each calendar day:
- Blue — milestones
- Red — project deadlines and payment due dates
- Purple — discovery calls and Quick Job due dates
- Green — manual calendar events
Clicking a day
Clicking any day opens a side panel showing all events for that day, an "Upcoming" view of future events grouped by today, tomorrow, this week, and later, and an option to add a manual event. Events load for approximately three months ahead so the upcoming view is useful even on the current month.
Adding a manual event
Admins and team members can add manual events from the day panel. A manual event requires a project (selected from your organisation's projects), a date, and a title. Optionally add a time and notes. Events are always linked to a project.
Clients can view the calendar but cannot add manual events.
No external calendar sync
The Pulse calendar is internal. It does not sync to Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. All event data lives within Pulse and is kept private to your organisation.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to add milestone dates to the calendar separately?
No. Any milestone with a due date appears on the calendar automatically. There is nothing extra to do.
Can I see more than one month of events at once?
The calendar shows one month, but the day-panel Upcoming section shows events up to about three months ahead, grouped by how soon they are.
