A project in Pulse is the hub for a piece of client work — it ties together milestones, files, chat, and payment requests. To create one, open Projects from the sidebar, click New Project, pick the client, give it a name and dates, and save.

Before you start

  • You need owner, admin, or team access to create projects.
  • As an admin you choose a client when creating the project, so add the client first (under Clients) if they do not exist yet.

Create a project step by step

  1. In the sidebar, open Projects.
  2. Click New Project (top right).
  3. Select the client. Expand the business and pick the contact. The project is billed to and shared with this client.
  4. Enter a Project Name (required) — for example, Website Redesign.
  5. Choose a Status: Planning, In Progress, or Awaiting Feedback (admins can also mark Completed).
  6. Add a Description (optional) outlining the scope, goals, or notes.
  7. Set a Start Date and Due Date (optional). The due date must be on or after the start date.
  8. Click Create Project.

What happens next

Your project opens with its own dashboard. From there you can add milestones (project progress is calculated automatically from milestone completion — you do not set it by hand), share files, chat with the client, and send a payment request tied to the project.
